Is rough o r delayed gear shifting in the Oshan X7 an early sign of transmission failure?

I’ve noticed that my Oshan X7 has started shifting harshly—especially between 1st and 2nd gear. Sometimes there’s a slight hesitation before it changes. Could this be an early symptom of internal clutch pack failure o r overheating in the DCT? Should I be worried about long-term transmission damage?

Yes. This is one of the most common early symptoms of clutch pack wear o r fluid degradation in DCT systems. You may notice:

Rough o r jerky shifting especially 1st to 2nd

Delayed gear engagement

Occasional hesitation while accelerating

Root causes:

Worn clutch packs especially in city driving

Old o r low-quality DCT fluid

Faulty gear position sensors o r mechatronic unit

Solution:

Get the transmission fluid inspected and changed if overdue ideally every 60,000 km.

Ask for a TCU update o r recalibration at a dealership.
