Is the Kaghan XL’s Engine Sufficient for Pakistan’s Hilly Routes?

The Kaghan XL is designed as a people-mover, but some drivers feel its power output struggles on steep climbs, especially when fully loaded. How much does this affect real-world usability in northern areas?

The Kaghan XL’s engine performs adequately for flat highways and moderate inclines, but in northern areas like Murree, Naran, o r Gilgit—especially when fully loaded—it may feel underpowered. On steep climbs, drivers often need to downshift frequently, which increases fuel consumption and slows travel speed. For occasional trips to hilly areas, it’s manageable, but for regular routes, a stronger engine would improve performance.
