Yes, it’s a contributing factor. These systems:

Constantly poll for the smart key signal.

Keep certain modules in a standby semi-awake mode.

Can draw 30–60 mA alone, especially in poorly coded o r updated ECUs.
Users who leave the car parked for 2–3 days often return to a dead battery, particularly in winter.
