Issues regarding civic 2002

i hav recetly bought a civic 2002 vti oriel manual transmission. the car is is ok condition driven on petrol. some work is required in the shocks which i am going to get it done from shah jee. otherwise i should the car to a mechanic he said the engine oil needs to be changed.so i wanted to ask which engine oil should i go for. which is the best and which spark plugs are the best for this car. cost isn't an issue but the oil and the plus should be good ones that improve pick as well as economy. i want good performance from the car. also tell me where should i get the tuning done from. the car is on petrol remember.waiting for replies. thanks.
