KIA SPORTAGE AWD vs. Toyota Prado 2003-2004: Road & Off-Road Choice

Im currently considering the purchase of a vehicle that I can use both for regular road use and occasionally for off-road adventures, particularly in northern areas. Ive been contemplating whether to buy a KIA SPORTAGE AWD o r opt for a 2003-2004 model of the Toyota Prado, both of which fall within the same price range.

Given my limited experience with 4x4 vehicles, Im uncertain which option would be more suitable. I reside outside of a major city, and its important to me to choose a vehicle that requires minimal maintenance and repairs. However, I do have concerns about the age of the Toyota Prado, considering its a 20-year-old model.
