Knock Sensor

can any one help fix my prb? actually my knock sensor is broken . n vtec is not engaging at all, is this aailable in the market or can any one help me find it out ?
i asked honda people about it (honda site, honda dive in) but they said that it not available right now , and it is also a way too expensive i.e 12000 PRK .
can i do a sort of ' JUGAR' in it? i just want to engage vtec else there is no prb like knocking etc ,
kindly plz advise me,

If you have knock sensor problem and feeling a huge power loss, it is not the vtec that is not engaging but your timing is being retarded. that is what the knock sensor does saves your engine from blowing up by your abuse and if malfunctioned it will retard it severly for limp mode only, coz it is not getting any data from the sensor.

So your Vtec is working fine and engaging fine, but fix your knock sensor or go to OBD 1 P28 ECU where it will not look for a knock sensor and your car would work fine, other wise get a knock sensor fixed
