Knocking sound from engine

hello friends
i have toyota surf model 1992,some time i heard some knocking sound from the engine it sound like the piston touching with cylinder head.can any body tell what the problem really is?

piston will break if touches anything else than piston rod underneath or its rings ard it. these are the two parts piston actually touches inside block.

as mentioned above ,- get yr car tuned.
