LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SENSORS

HI ALL,
lane departure warning sensor is a new technology which is starting to make its appereance on premium vehicles in usa to save lives and prevent injuries caused by the driver in this sensor manufacturers typically uses a small camera mounted near the rear view mirror to detect visible lane markers and determine wheather the vehicle is staying in its lane .should the vehicle stray over the centre line or move too far to the right and cross a line marking the edge of the road ,awrning is given so that the driver can return the vehicle to its lane .

if the driver uses the turn signal ,then the LDW main system is temporarily inactivted.

the system do not work below the speed limit of 35 mph because that means the vehicle is operating in city traffic .

nissan was the first maker and user for this sensor in there 2005 models in infiniti fx 35 and 45 .
