Please print my reply and keep with you. See it after 2 years. And now to your question.
1. Honda 2S dealers are not expensive. Please do not buy any part from open market if it is for the engine or suspension. ( I changed my civic2002 vti timing belt from open market and it cost me
Rs1500
, mechanic took 1800.Total cost 3300. Mechanic did not tightened a/c belt and after 3 replacements belts cost me 2300. After 8000km on my way at 2am timming belt broke and nearest city was 55kms away. Towed to nearest city and paid Rs.1200 for towing.) Head was overhauled because valves were damaged. Total Cost incurred was Rs.25000, this includes cost of genuine timing belt from honda which cost
Rs.1560.
2. Please calculate all and analyze. Honda had given an estimate of Rs.4500 for timing belt replacement.
3. This is just one example. I also had the same thinking and spent much of my money on buying useless parts from the open market, after going to honda i have found most parts are available at honda 2s dealerships at cheaper rates.
4.IT IS ADVISABLE TO BUY FLOOR MATS ONLY FROM OPEN MARKET. HONDA PARTS ARE NOT EXPENSIVE.
5.GO TO A HONDA 2S DEALER AND GET THE PRICES OF SOME GENUINE PARTS INCLUDING BUMPERS, LIGHTS,SUSPENSION BUSHES TUNNING CHARGES. COMPARE THEM WITH THE PRICES OF PARTS FROM OPEN MARKET AND WITH GENUINE PARTS OF SUZUKI CULTUS.
6.DECIDE AND DO NOT LEARN THE HARD WAY AS I DID.
