Mitsubishi Lancer bad Fuel Average

Mitsubishi Lancer bad Fuel Average

I recently purchased a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 GL, and its been giving me a mileage of around 6-7 kilometers per liter on highways. Ive already replaced the spark plugs, tuned it up, and changed the oil, but the fuel efficiency seems to be getting worse. The engine appears to be in good condition. Can anyone please provide some suggestions to help me resolve this issue? Thank you!

Is your car equipped with an automatic transmission o r a 5-speed manual? Also, could you share the current odometer reading of your vehicle? Typically, for a 5-speed manual Lancer with a 4G13 engine from 2005, you should expect a fuel efficiency of around 11-13 kilometers per liter.

Its important to note that without a compression test, its difficult to accurately assess the engines health, especially for a 2005 model thats in stock condition. Sir.
