Mp3 player/ipod in your car

Hey guys,
I am planning to have my audio system removed and have an mp3 player / Ipod connector fitted, so that I can plug my mp3 players on the fly to the connector and play music in the car.

you get different adapters/connectors abroad however I am not sure where to get such devices in pakistan. I spoke to an audio fitting guy here in Rawalpindi and he had no idea about that..

Have any of you guys done something similar ?

please share your ideas..
