My merc c-180 overheats during slow drive

Hello All. I am new to gari.pk. I had a question and somebody told me to get advice from this forum.

My merc c-180 overheats during slow drive, such as in rush. The temperature goes from 80c (normail) to 120C. There is no problem during normal drive i.e. in 4th gear or above. Can anybody help. A local mechanic told me about something about viscous fan or coupling. I want to get advice first.
