NEED HELP BUYING KIA SPORTAGE

dear users,
i am interested to buy a sportage , some one told me that these cars dont have resale value , can any one guide me what to do .
Also can you tell me about the Drive , Fuel Economy , Maintenence cost , etc

i bought a 2005 sportage last year. am quite happy with it. if i stay off the turbo then i get 11 km/lt with turbo being used most of time i get 9 km/l. it's great value for money and suprisingly good off-road. sportage is very popular in australia and mid-west in the usa. i don't know what other fully loaded 4x4 you can get for less than 15 lacs nowadays. so once again GREAT VALUE. no major problems with it so far. little things keep popping up...a squeak here...a rattle there...served me well in the rains last year and the crappy roads...i have a long commute to work....i say if you need the extra space, comfort, safety then go for it...keep it for 5 years at least and the resale will adjust itself...good luck
