There are a couple of problems in my Cultus which i wana fix before eid... i do need suggestions

1. The car is unable to start on petrol, i got it checked from a mechanic, he told me that the fuel pump/filter (whatever he said) situated at the rear side of the car (near fuel tank) needs to be replaced. He told me to bring one so he can fix, genuine one is for 2300 (true or not??) while chinese one would be around 300 and would easily last for 2-3 years (according to him... true or not???). Please tell me how much would this cost and in Karachi where other than Plaza i can get this??? places around Gulshan/ Johar would be preferable.. Any idea about Jamshed road??? please suggest

2. There is a "patti" (slang word) beneath the Radiator which actually firmly holds the radiator. This isnt present dramatically (either stolen or something like that). Where can i find this???

Check out the following places:

1. Jail road and surrounding area (i.e. the road which connects Guromander and Jail road) there are several shops.

2. Waterpump (F.B. Area) the shops around PSO petrol pump. I mostly buy from Superway autos just beside the pump. The rates are so-so but he is an honest guy as he tells you if it is a Japanese or a Chinese part.

3. For the "patti", it may be just dropped due to hit at some speed breaker. But radiator is hold by the screws and bolt so don't worry too much about this. However, check out the silencer welding shops, sometimes, they do have a solution.

Hope it helps. BTW, getting a second opinion is better. Check your car at RZ Autos (on the road between Disco Bakery and Bhayani Heights). The guy name is Zulfiqar. Get an estimate from him as well. He will save you from buying parts etc.
