Need help: Lowering the car

I want to know what things are needed to lower the car
i m interested in 1" or 1" 1/2 drop.
1.What will be the Expenditure?
2.What things are needed?
3.Can it be done by cutting springs?
4.Can it be done by changing Springs(shorter one)
5.What will be the side effects?
6.Can 5 person with Luggage will be able to sit in the car?

Car=Honda Accord 1988.

Lowering the car needs mechanical work. Can be technical for the worker. Lowering a car effects on cars performance. You still think it should be in general auto talks?
