Oil based air filters??????????

Dear all i need ur views regarding these locally made air cleaning systams in which MOBIL OIL is used nd locally they r named KUPPA. r they good for engines.... any bad effects???????

"Kuppa" are not "desi-made" but rather a very old technology which made good for the requirements of the time. I have seen them on VWs and they work very well. I'm not sure how a unit will perform on a Diesel Charade as it depends on the engine requirements. Diesel can be sensitive to their working environment and if not working efficiently would set u back quite a bit so I'll suggest you spend the extra money to install the "modern" filter. (Immediate benefit will be a quieter engine and a little better performance - less fuss to mess around with as well).
