Overheating - Help

Hi

A friend of mine's 94 Corollas' radiator was leaking slighlty such that he needed to fill the radiator and the bottle every week. 10 days back he got the radiator fixed. Since then there is no leakage and the fan is working the same as it has been for the past two years. BUT, instead of a week, now the water is gone from the radiator every 2nd day.

The radiator isnt leaking but there is EXTRA pressure in the radiator even after 10 to 15 KMs...

The fan is automatic. The car keeps on heating up and cooling down after the first 40 to 50 Kms in a drive and then it would not come down.

Any idea where could the problem be... ???
