Pajero Mini Engine Replacement (660cc to 1100cc)

Assalamoalikum,

Hello, I have Pajero Mini 1996 model with 660cc turbo engine (Automatic transmission). I want to know that if I change that engine with Pajero Junior 1100cc engine with automatic transmission what things should I keep in mind and is that alteration successful ? if anyone has experience of this alteration kindly tell me what are the drawbacks of this and how is the performance of 1100cc engine ?

Actually I am changing that engine because the 660cc engine is giving me trouble specially in summer with AC on, it heats up very quickly and the go above the normal temperature range. I original single tube radiator and I have done everything from servicing the radiator and other tweaks.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Salam bro ..

well there is no alteration required ... the stuff u need to change is
- 1100cc engine 4A31
- differentials ( front and rear both ) bcuz mini is short shift and jr is long shift
- Transmission ( junior have 4fwd auto gear while mini has 3fwd gear )
- jr ecu i.e. MR246350 ( mini ecu is mr314982 just telling )

well i also own mini pajero 97 manual turbo intercooler .. the max temp guage goes is abit lower to half and the outside temp to 65c .. i have removed the thermostat frm the engine ....
