Good question. Not that i am an expert on the subject but I will try to shed some light.

Anyone is welcome to correct me.

From my grade 9 physics book, I found:

First calculate Torque:

Torque is:

T= f x d

where f=force, d=distance

Then Horsepower:

Torque x Engine Speed / 5252=Estimated Horsepower

Above is lb/ft, though your statement containt Metric system of calculation.

Perhaps this gives you some direction.
