Power Problem

I am having a Toyota Vitz 2004. The problem I am facing is that there is no power in car. It hardly goes to 100KM/H. Initailly the pick was very good but now its all dead. Engine is producing high RPM but output is zero. A mechnaic said its transmission problem. Your guidance is required regarding this. I would highly appreciate your concern.

yeah it can be........if engine was revving healthy but won't attain any speed....so either clutch is slipping or its torque convertor............i suggest that if you can put manual Tranny in that.....go for that...............if not...so get it checked.........
it can be the problem bcz power was not properly transmitted to tranny.....thats why car won't accelerate.......
get it check....
