My power steering pump started to produce a strange sound. I was told to change the pump. I called up a shop in pindi, and asked for the price of a brand new pump. the shop owner suggested to buy a used one as a new pump is very expensive.

I came to know that the second hand pumps available in pindi are of the japanese civic and require some alterations in the piping. i did install the pump but now the steering jerks and is not performing well.

Can anyone tell me from where can i get a genuine pump, or does someone know about a totalled civic, so that i can buy the pump from that guy.

waiting for some serious replies.

You probably got the wrong pump if it required alterations. Make sure the pump is for your model. Don't know about the 01, but, I got one for my 96 in Lahore. It's easily available here.
