guys the problem is that the car was runing just fine a few days back...
i took it for service....then it started missing...but i knew it happens after service....but it kept on like this for a few miles...then it looked fine
but today when i started the car.....nd presed the accelerator.....when the rpm reached 5000 then it stood there whil fluctuating between 4800 m 5000 n with the same rythm the car was vibrating.....
i never experienced this ever before.....where can possibly be the problem
car is 1996 mercedes benz c180..auto trans
washed the engine...but not with diesel....as they said that we dont wash mercedes engines with diesel....although couldnt figure out y
anywax....your help in this regard will be highly appreciated

When revving it in neutral, it has a rev limiter which doesnt let it go above the rpms you're telling and the vibrating then is normal.
However, the missing could be related to a lot of issues. I had the same problem with a w202 I had, initially replaced spark plugs, then wires, but didnt help. It would work fine for some time and then start missing badly. Then I replaced the air mass sensor and it has been working much better since.
Get it checked and see what the mechanic has to say, but this car has problems with air mass sensors so there's a very probable chance of that being the issue.
For temporary purposes, just turn off the car and turn it on again when it starrts missing, it may help.
