Problem of engine light

i have toyota hilux surf 3000cc 1993 model automatic it check engine light comes when it temp guage reaches middle when i give accelator and rpm meter reaches at 2 light comes when i drop the accelator light goes off and jeep behaves normal when light comes the pick of jeep becomes low. i observe a hole in rubber pipe of air filter can u think this problem is due to this hole

The hole in the intake pipe is a housing of Air Flow sensor used to control the amount of fuel to be injected.....Either it is missing or dislocated.....
