Question: Lowering Diesel Engine noise

Question: Lowering Diesel Engine noise

I want to know that are there any sound lowering techniques for diesel engines. I have a 2C engine in my Mazda 1500, and it noises alot, provided engine is not weak in any case as i have recenlty overhauled it.

It is just vibrating too much, and noising too much. i already have placed "Nimda" (leather sheet with fiber wool inside) on the underside of bonnet. one person told me that air cleaner setup i am using is of Mazda 2200, instead i should be a using Toyota diesel engine air cleaner setup

kindly guide me.

Aur cleaner setup is make or break for diesel engine noise.

Full setup for 2C engine will reduce suction noise for sure. If it is the knock you are refering to, then tappets might be off or diesel pump and nozzles are out of calibration
