Question to all CNG run Honda Owners

Question to all CNG run Honda Owners

Well six months back I bought a city IDSi 2006 and its running good on CNG (doing about 120km/55kg cylinder) and i am very happy with its performance. Now the problem started when I turned ON the AC a couple of weeks back. As soon as I started the AC, the idle RPM started to decline and finally to 0 and the car switched off. Without AC, everything is fine and no Patrol, no problem with AC. I went to ENERCON guy. He cleaned the air filter did some adjustment to the idle RPM valve and the car was fine. He further told me that the lambada kit should be removed to further improve the performance (he was quoting examples of various other owners who removed the lambada). I said that I will check and if the problem remains the same, I will think to remove the Lamabada. The car was fine for about a weak and then the same problem continued i.e. engine shutting down when AC is turned on. This time I went to Al-Mubarak CNG and the guy told me the following. 1. This problem is inherent in all Honda Vehicle 2. There is no permanent solution to this problem 3. The temporary solution is to adjust the TAPITS from Honda guys and then we will do the rest of the tuning. We dont do TAPITS for Honda City. 4. Clean your air filter every 10-15 days. He also said that the lambada installed in my car is not connected, so basically it is just there with no function. He said that he will take about Rs 2500 to connect it. Shall I go for it? Now my questions to all member owning a Honda with CNG installed is that is it true that this problem is in every Honda and you have to clean your air filter every 15 days to keep the AC running at idle. Right now what I am doing is to turn off my ac as soon as I approach a signal or stop so as to avoid shutting down of engine. Any suggestions or idea what shall I do or any person shall I contact?

In my experince it is the Idle control valve which gets dirty over a period of time and messes up idling on cng.

Motor expert people sorted out a frind's city idsi which was at a critical stage of problem.

If you adjust tappets, what you are doing is that yo are increasing/decreasing air inflow into the engine to make it work on CNG which is not a permanent or wise solution in the long run.

Get idle control valve checked, i hope things will improve.
