"Click" sound from the clutch

Hi... can anyone tell me wht are the signs of a weak clutch plate?

Since the past few days the clutch of my car has started to produce a thin "Click" sound everytime i release the clutch when switching gears... has it got anything to do with the clutch plate? if not, any idea wht is it thts producing that sound?
