Race Pedal Hardens

Since last few days the race pedal is getting harder and harder while driving continuously. I got it checked from the mechanic. He opened the whole pedal and greased it, olied the whole race-wire. But after driving for a day, the same problem re-surfaced. I thought it may be due to some tunning issue. But the tunning guy advised that tunning is ok. He shown his doubt that the quality of wire may be not good. Although I have replaced the wire two montns ago and the seller claimed that it is genuine (Japan made). My car is corolla-86 model.

Please advise what to do?

Check the race lever on your carb ... is it hard? may be it is causing this problem ... if it is really hard then put some oil on it to make it work softer ... In 86 rolla there is a piston operated carb so it may be the case that piston is not moving freely ... re-checked it with your machanic while keeping these options in your mind..
