Radiator water boils !!!!???

Dear All,

A friend of mine asked me to post this question here, his question is:

He has 2002 Diatsu Coure, the heater was not working went to a mechanic to fix it, then opened and took out the whole dashboard, then took the heater radiator and cleaned it, it was choked with dirt, put everything back, the heater is working fine now, a new problem occurred, the radiator water starts to boil even when the engine is not really hot, the temp meter is less then quarter and the water boils. Went to a mechanic to get this problem checked, the mechanic says it is normal thing to happen to a car (which I really don�t buy) and he checked everything and everything seems to be fine. What are your thoughts? By the way the radiator water is the antifreeze not normal water.

Check the fan in front of a radiator----if any there comes on.
check the radiator cape.
Check the fan belt
Check the water pump
chech the hosess
check radiator leaks
