Recommendation required for CNG Installation
Recommendation required for CNG Installation
AoA Guys,
I have recently purchased 2004 VTI Oriel Prosmatec in Islamabad (posted the topic earlier about price check and bought it after verification)
. I had been searching on the forums for CNG installation help for almost 2 weeks and gather a lot of infomation but still couldnt conclude on:
- From where to get the CNG installed in Isb
- Which brand to get for different components
- Lambada Yes or No
I talked to Al_Mubarak CNG and they said they are gonna install PVR advancer and emulator only because the plugs are compatible with my car and cutting of wires wont be required. Secondly he said that he will take the input for advancer from the crank and not from ECU as there is a chance of screwing ECU ... is this the correct way of doing this? I read in the forums that PVR is not a good brand compared to LendiRenzo for both advancer & emulator. For the kit there was a choice between Landi Renzo and some Argentine brand. They guy said that there wont be any warranty for advancer, emulator and lambada but there will be performance guarantee which I think is very subjective to measure.
The car I bought is in excellent condition. I will soon post the pics.
The thing is that I am afraid of:
- Any permanent damage made to car during the installation (read that they might disable some sensors permanently in the car)
- The car doesnt perform on petrol like its doing now after the installation of CNG
- Idling and/or check engine light problem
- Lousy Work of mechanics. I would love to install it as neat as possible and willing to pay 10 - 15% extra if this is guaranteed.
Please note that I do not know much about car engine/its working/trouble shooting etc.
From searching I percieved that people are usually not happy with their CNG installation especially in Honda. Appreciate if experts in the domain can help me out and guys who have got this installed in their similar cars share their experiences and recommendations.
Thanks & Regards

The CNG workshop in front of Suzuki showroom in I-10 is excellent. They intalled orginal Landi Stap advancers and emulators, my friend got PVR from G-10, but he is not happy with it.
I have a personal very good experience with I-10, they have all things orginal, fair dealing, neat fittings and professional people.
My Xli gives 195-170 kms per 55 kg cylinder and pick is awsome, no issues since March, when I got it installed.
