Rectify Nissan Maxima 96 Transmission problem !

Hi members !

I have a maxima 96 model, from last month it transmission is creating a problem of shifting like somitimes on the 1st gear it goes to 4000-4500 rpm to shift & ones the gear shifts the car is running smooth. No problem with any further gear shifts.

For Troubleshooting the problem took measure like renewed the gear oil,filter & oil span. Did diagnostics no fault codes available in engine & gear ecu. Many mechanic say that the transmission should be overhauled.

Can any share their knowledge of how to overcome this problem.
