Reliable swap details.

Reliable swap details.

People who have swapped big engines in small cars ... your opinion will be MUCH appreciated.

Im looking for my first personal car next year.

I initially was going to get Cuore + CNG from my father.

Until I found out about the 1990-1992 Suzuki Swift JDM, the one on which the current Cultus is based on. The car price to what I know ranges from 2-2.25 lakh.

Now with around 75,000-1lakh to spare ... I was thinking of swapping in a G16B from a Baleno GTi. Yes ... im looking to make a hot hatch

Now tell me folks, what else will be changed ? Ill definately need better brakes, suspension, axles, tyres ... what about the engine bay and mounts ?

And this will be my dialy driver. So I need this to be reliable. Wont do any mods except for the simple big exhaust, CAI and better plugs/wiring.

Here start my question

A) Will I get good engines ? Since we did get the engine in the market I guess it should be available. In Karachi.

B) What else will I need. I want a proper swap with mods to the brakes, suspension and axles so that the swap lasts. Can all those be used of the Baleno 1.6 GTi ? Cus like ... shershah main I guess miljaiga yeh saman for good prices since Baleno GTi's hav had a tendency to crash a bit more

C) Will it last long enough ?

D) Am I going for too big an engine ? And should opt for a G13BB instead ?

E) Your opinions and a guide on what to do. Right now I need to assure my father that this wont be giving major problems. We had a bad experience with a family friends' Charade with a swapped diesel.

If anyone finds the time to help me out ... it'd be nice

In my openion you should go for G13B .... "1.3L DOHC" instead of 1.6L

G13B is a very good engine as far as performance is concern ... and it will cost you around 45k(engine/Gear/ECU) from Shershah.

If you swap a 1.6 engine it will take more space in bay. You dont have some space to fit radiator and other essanitial things, like air cleaner etc...

In first place try to find a two door suzuki cultus comes with stock fitted G13b ... it will save your time and money ... there is a hell lot of time required for swapping engines in different cars and money, when it comes to modification.

You can turbo charge your G13b to smoke any good car and bring your 1/4 miles time below 13sec..
