Replacement hood heavier than genuine hood

Replacement hood heavier than genuine hood

i bought a replacement hood of taiwan, strange thing is that its heavier than genuine hood fitted by IMC.

in genuine hood if you press it hard it may develop a dent but this taiwan made hood is of a good sheet.

so whats this

is IMC intentionally putting low quality stuff?

I may be wrong but the doors n hoods are supposed to be soft as they need to crumble in an accident. Thats because the crumbling will dissapate all the energy that the car has to reduce the injury to the driver n passenger.

However the pillers n roof supprt need to be hard n strong.
