Rough idle (d16 ZC)

hey guys. my friends integra having a zc sohc 1600 PGMFi is having some problem with the idle. the mechanic changed the spark plugs but the it didnt make much difference. the mechanic asked us to replace spark plug leads with new ones. they are about 120NZD. do u think the problem will go away with that. if no wat can be other reasons behind the rough idle.
(we bought 2nd hand spark plug leads before going to the mechanic but the problem didnt go. put the old ones back after installing the new plugs n still no change).
please help.
