RPM

RPM

Dear friends

I have recently converted my Cultus VXL, 2003 to CNG with Landi renzo+dalmine 50 lltr cylinder.
Please guide me as the RPM with gas in 1000 and when I turn on the air conditioner, the RPM goes to 1200, on petrol the RPM stands at 1200. IS it OK.
Thanks

yes it is okay, u might not have taken notice earlier, whenever A/C is turned on, RPM slightly shoots up both on petrol and CNG. normally RPM ranges from 650~850 rev/min in idling. I suggest u to put spark advancer with CNG conversion.

interesting facts is, with parking lights already s/w on and u turn on ur A/c then u'll also feel a slight dim lights. all this is quite normal. u ay come across some electrician who suggests u to put a relay and give power to head lights/ fan directly from battery (by passing other wiring), but i recommend not to follow such ppl.
