Rust on Toyota Corolla Footboard

Asalam Alaikum,
My 2016 Corolla Grande has developed rust on both footboards, causing them to rot out. While I have had one side fixed by a local denter/painter, it seems to be cracking again. I am wondering if anyone has replaced their footboards by cutting and replacing the affected part, and if so, could you please share the cost?
