Same Problem on My Diesel and Petrol car

Salam Friends i own a Charade Diesel and a Corolla 1.6 GLi 1995. Both are giving Starting Problem. Car stops at night all well. But at morning both engine takes a turn or two then refuses to crank like battery has drained out. then we charge the battery at our UPS and it starts good. Got the battery checked they are all ok as per mechanic instruction.

but today on corolla after half an hour car didnt start my father hammered one terminal of battery and it started on half switch .

Please guide me what could be the issue. i want ur precious advices before i get changed my battery, generator or self starter.

Get the specific gravity of each cell of battery checked by hydrometer,it should be 12.75 for each cell when battery is fully charged.if the reading is below 12.50 then replace the battery.
Also check the battery terminals for corrosion and looseness.

In addition to the above suggestions, also remove the terminals and dip them in coca cola/pepsi, this will clean the corrosion off them. When they are clean apply some vaseline to both the battery terminals AND the clamps this will prevent them from corrosion and help reduce your connection issues.
