Slight problem

my friend got a 1994 honda civic with d16A6 with auto tranny. i usually drive it. the problem is that the speedometre needle drops to 0 sometimes for no reason and then back on. dont know y. and the other thing is that the fuel gauge needle fluctuates alot. like in curves and slope parkings it goes like +- 5-10 litres approx. its like u have put 10 litres of fuel but it wud show empty on the needle. how can i solve this problem?? thanks
