i have got sum questions wihc really puzzles me sumtymes :

why all japanese 660cc have 5 gear manual transmission and our local assembled mehrans 800cc have a 4 gear manual transmission.. .? ? ?

why mehran is the best or most selling car... ? while we all hate it ....it culdnt b becuz tht its cheap..Mehran VXR M CNG costs Rs. 408,300 ???

Loaded questions man. I am not going to touch the subject of why Mehran is the best selling car to avoid a flame war. I will let autophile and hash man handle this one.

Regarding your question about transmission; simple answer: cost. It is cheaper in material, manufacturing and engineering cost to build a 4 speed than a 5 speed transmission. If you are manufacturing an economical , read cheap, automobile to satisfy the demands of local market, you tend to reach for the cheaper parts bin.
