Starting a car in winter - CNG vs Petrol

Hi,

There is a myth (at least that is what I found) that in winter one should turn off the car on petrol (instead of CNG) on previous night so that in morning vehicle start is guaranteed.

But what I've found is that on CNG mode my Suzuki Mehran starts in 5-6 seconds while on Petrol mode it needs choke pulled and take 1 minute or so to get stabled. I pull back choke as soon as it is started though.

What are your opinions on this myth/reality? Isn't it that petrol being liquid is more prone to cold than CNG?

Thanks.

PS. I have no issues with battaery; it is almost new.

a little tip for carby cars like mehran

1. pump the paddle 1 or 2 times (dont overdo it)
2. ensure car is in neutral and handbrake is pulled, press clutch and then start the car
3. i am sure it will start in a single go!!, since mehran does not have auto choke, you might have to pull it for a while
