Strange Problem with my VTI Pros....Pls Help

I have VTI Oriel Pros 2002. Car is in a good nick. I have faced a strange issue while travelling larger distances. After about every 30 to 40 Kms engine check light comes up and the rpm drops to almost nill and then engines stops. If I leave it like this for couple of mins and then start the car it works good for another 30 to 40 kms and then again the same problem comes up.....

Can any guide me as to what has happened or if anyone else have faced this issue...

I need your input to get rid of this issue.

disconnect battery and re connect after few minutes. it will reset the ecu. if problem persists, its a sensor malfunction. for diagnosis computer hookup for e.g from honda pit stop will do
