Subwoofer Connections

Someone please tell me how to wire a DVC (Dual Voice Coil) Subwoofer. It has two pair of connections Two Positives and Two Negatives. How to connect the amplifier with this one. Should I connect both +ves together and other -ves together and attach them to a mono block amplifier or should I connect a 2-channel (stereo) amplifier, connecting each channel to each coil?

Also tell me how much powerful amplifier is needed for this Pioneer Subwoofer TS-W12PRS it has nominal input of 300 Watts and 1200 Watts peak/maximum.

Pakwheelers your help is needed in this regard.

Your manual that will come with the subwoofer will have instructions on the wiring.

You can also run just ONE voice coil and leave the other as it is. It wont harm the subwoofer or anything but it will reduce its power handling capability so you have to make sure you dont set the gain on your amp real high.
