Suitable rpm range for changing gears

wat is the most suitable rpm to change the gear should we rev it to 5 or 6 sometime

Hello!
i varies from cars to cars....the best thing to remember is what car you are driving and at what RPM's that engine gave its max Torque.....thats the point from where you can get max load bearing capacity on low rpms + Fuel Milage +Smooth Drive...without any hard revving.........
Mostly engines put their max Torque b/w 3000-3500RPM.....
Honda ones need more revving to get max torque 4+ almost.......
so it depends on what you are driving....
as a common idea...speed goes like this
1st 20km
2nd 40km
3rd 60km
4th 80km...onwards....

if u r revving max....don't increase above that....its max on safe side...
1st 35km
2nd 55km
3rd 80km
4th 100 onwards.....

be always keep in mind...revving much never gave any fuel milage for sure...
