Suzuki FX Worst Fuel Economy Help Needed!

Suzuki FX Worst Fuel Economy Help Needed!

Ive recently purchased a Suzuki FX and Im experiencing an issue with its fuel efficiency. Despite starting on the first try and not emitting black smoke, the car is only able to achieve 4 kilometers per liter, which is far from ideal. Additionally, Ive noticed that the car emits a small amount of blue smoke.

In order to diagnose the issue, I conducted a mileage test by attaching a 1.5-liter bottle to the return line. After driving just 4 kilometers, the bottle had lost a significant amount of fuel, indicating that there is a problem with fuel consumption. Im unsure where the fuel is going, and Im hoping to find a solution to improve the cars fuel efficiency.

Old carbureted cars can be great projects, but require a thorough inspection of their carburetors, fuel lines, fuel tanks, and fuel pumps. If the car emits blue smoke, its a sign of a weak engine, and with its fuel consumption, it should produce blackish smoke instead.

To check the handbrake, a mechanic should inspect the cables from the handbrake to the drum. I remember my FX had issues with the handbrake lever, which kept coming up, and the mechanic had to manually adjust it.
