Tech Questions for Cheetas!!!

1. In petrol engines plugs spark and petrol burns... what fires the desiel engine? How does it work.

2. Why is to so your car does not start with the self starter, you push it and it starts. starter also rotates the engine and by pushing the car the engine rotates.

3. What creates the sound of a Knock? when engine is advance it knocks. is there a drummer in side or what

1. Heat of compression, the same reason they're referred to as Compression Ignition Engines.

2. All depends, the only time when your car will start by push starting is either when you have a faulty starter or a fuel restriction. Otherwise if a starter's not starting it, roling it down Murree Hills won't do it either.

3. Pre/Det or Pinging.Occurs when a the fuel partly ignites without making contact with the flame front (sparkplug) or pre ignites before its supposed to (before the completion of the compression stroke). The sound you hear is actually the two flame fronts colliding.
