Temperature Gauge Problem

Temperature Gauge Problem

My Honda Civic 2002 EXi has developed a problem for the last couple of days. As the temperature gauge normally stays in the middle, now during driving, sometime (very rarely), the gauge starts falling and even comes to zero, stays there for few seconds and then again moves to the normal position. What that problem could be? Help plz

1. Plz check the wire/sensor connection and gauge by shorting that wire/sensor which is connected to hose for Temperature that what your temperature gauge shows(expected result should be it should immediately goes to H or in Open state should stay at C)
2. Check the Temperature gauge as those gauges have coils in back of Meter panel may be some problem with there connection
3. Check the PCB panel connected with gauge Coils which interprets the sensor signals and create field for moving the gauges.
4. Check the thermostate valve as normally at high temperature it automatically opens and let the water to move in Engine from radiator overtime it can eveolve some fault. Remind one thing if Thermostat valve is faulty then use New and Original one.
