Temperature Gauge Problem

My Honda Civic 2002 EXi has developed a problem for the last couple of days. As the temperature gauge normally stays in the middle, now during driving, sometime (very rarely), the gauge starts falling and even comes to zero, stays there for few seconds and then again moves to the normal position. What that problem could be? Help plz

Can you able to locate the temerature sensore in the engin?
It should be like single wire connected on a copper nut. remove the wire and reconnect it to the sensor. migth be lose connection.
