Things to check before a long trip.??

Hey guys my family is planing a road trip from karachi to mayb lahore nd then to the north areas

so i wat do you think the car inspection include

gud condition Tyres.

a gud Battery

Engine oil, air filters, fresh spark plugs. mayb fan belt too

a engine tune up.

towing cable, battery touching cables.

any thing em forgeting please mention it.

Ps; i think the car is taking a lil longer self so do u think the battery needs to be changed?? btw the trip is being planed on Toyota Vitz. (probably)

hey... i went on a road trip from karachi to naran and back in a '86 corolla... wa great fun. some of the things that i did before leaving:

1. wheel alignment and balancing... and ask the person doing it to check the suspension too, a good alignment wala would do that and check the spare tire too...
2. we got the self and the alternator serviced... we took it to an electrician and had him check everything electrical... take a few extra fuses with you just in case
3. got the radiator checked and cleaned... very important for a long road trip
4. got the brakes checked and serviced, had the timing belt checked, water pipes etc
5. keep extra plugs... we kept extra plugs, an extra fan belt, water bottles and water houses !! but then again, ours was an oldie
6. got the car serviced, asked teh service wala to grease up nicely

do all that apply from the above a couple of days before leaving so that you can actually test your car in the city before leaving...

air filter change is a good idea, and oil, well depends if upon the condition of the oil in your car, if it can last upto lahore then get it changed there else change it.. and yeah keep some oil with you too.
