Timing Belt Broken While Driving

Timing Belt Broken While Driving

Hi Experts,

My SANTRO (Model 2001) timing belt broke while I was driving. I got it replaced alongwith bearing on 80,000 KM and currently the MR is 128K. What could be reason(s) for this? 2 number belt??? etc.???

The belt and bearing both are again replaced but the Engine is not stable on slow and idle running. The mechanic checked and told me that 1 of it's four cylinders (cylinder # 3) is not working.

What other possible reason(s) are for the engine being unstable? Please advise.
