Tips to make engine silent

I don't like the engine sound roaring into the drivers cabin. I have seen some Khyber and Margallas which you know are old enough, thier engine are very silent as new cars which produce a great feel of comfort. And I have seen many Margallas and Khyber of the same models whose engines are very noisy and produce much noise in the driver cabin. So, my question is what is the difference and please give some tips to reduce engine noise. Thanks in advance for the TIPS

if u are specifically talking about khyber or margallah then the reason fot engine noise is mostly because of tappits. These engines require tappit adjustment after 20 to 25k kms.
