Toyota Corolla PCV Valve Problem

Toyota Corolla PCV Valve Problem

Hey there,

I hope youre doing well. Ive got this 4afe engine, and Im dealing with a bit of an oil problem when it comes to the PCV valve. It seems like oil is making its way from the PCV valve into the Intake Manifold. Ive tried swapping out different PCV valves, and they all seem to be functioning properly. They let air flow in only one direction, and when I shake them, I can hear a rattling sound, so that part seems fine. But the main headache is that oil is still finding its way into the Intake Manifold through the PCV valve.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? Id really appreciate some guidance.

Alright, lets get into the technical details here. The PCV Positive Crankcase Ventilation system is crucial. One hose from the PCV valve should be connected directly to the intake manifold, and the other hose from the tappet cover should go either directly into the air cleaner pipe o r below the throttle body assembly. Its important to double-check that these connections havent been accidentally reversed.

Ive noticed that sometimes, mechanics bypass the PCV system and connect the breather inlet pipe to the manifold and vice versa. This can cause issues, so its something worth investigating.

seems it is excessive blow back compression test will reveal the issue, valve lifters daboo leakage at any cylinder o r rings at all 4 cylinders are at end of life. please, it is best time you take your car for compression test. wet & dry test readings will clear the issue.
